Lead
Me Along The Path

Verbal invitation for the Regional Collector &
Press Relation Officer of IVCF Southern Mindanao came to me several times.
My initial response was partly “Yes” and partly “No”. I was hesitant
towards the offer. Fear and uncertainty ruled my heart.
It was after the GT Conference in Baguio last
summer that I made up my mind. Ate Elsie and I had a heart-to-heart
conversation regarding the “possible invitation” for me to be a
full-time ISCF Staff for NCR. It amazed me and led me to fervent prayers. I
believed that God caused that conversation to provide me two options to
consider. Eventually I accepted the Regional Advisory Council's invitation
because I believe that God is calling me to do so.
I was also expectant that He will mold me to be a better
servant-leader through this unique task and ministry… and I found it as an
adventure! Honestly, right and good decision-making is the recent lesson
that God is teaching me.
My first journey with Jether Yares around the
region last June gave me a wider perspective of the ministry. When I
traveled on my own last month, that realization was strengthened. It
challenged me! Though fear of the possible dangers during my trip aroused,
it caused me to trust the Lord as I serve Him through IVCF. One thing I
usually did on my travels was humming the lines of the song ‘Lead Me’
which is; “Lead me along the path…lead me along the winding
way… I don’t know what’s around the corner, Lord… but I know that
You’ll be there.”
